Is America too misogynistic to elect a female President?
Originally posted by whiteroseI certainly don't think that all Americans are like that. I have many good American friends, and I used to go out with an American girl. It's unfortunate that the popular image of American people are, well, people like Jammer.
Please don't confuse all Americans with idiots like him.

You can call me dankweed, old geezer (my personal favorite), ugly American or anything else your tiny mind may come up with.
You'll still be an unfortunate dullard.

Originally posted by SJ247Well, I have found quite commonly that people assume that I will act like their image of an American(which is a very negative image), and are very supprised when I don't. I think America should be worried about how much the rest of the world has grown to look down on it.
Only if the readers are too stupid to realize jerks exist in every country, which is doubtful.
I think we worry too much about having a bad name.
Originally posted by whiteroseI don't spend much time worrying about what others think of me, or worrying about what others might think of me. I am my own example. If others have misconceptions about ALL Americans, hopefully they will have the ability to change their opinions after interacting on an individual basis. This stereotype, if it really exists, is no more acceptable than any other stereotype.
