You realize Cuba broke away from the USA with the rise of Castro, right?
Sore losers on all sides, right?

Cuba was never part of the USA and the USA has no claim to it.

Well... legally, you're right - and you should have been factually right, as well - but Batista was definitely owned by the CIA, and the country under him might as well have been in Puerto Rico's relation to the USA.

(Note: I am quite pointedly not condoning that situation. I don't think Castro was good, but he wasn't nearly as bad as Batista.)

Broke free. Ukraine was a country long before Russia was.

Cuba was a colony of the USA after we stole it from Spain.
If the USA has no claim to it why the Bay of Pigs invasion? Countless assassination attempts on Castro? The USA is clearly trying to reclaim it.

So you're just going to refuse to concede you were wildly and mortifyingly wrong?
I am not wrong.
Cuba was a colony of the USA after it was a colony of Spain.
We stole it fair and square. Then Castro stole it fair and square. My government still wants it back though. Kennedy tried to invade and failed.

And do you realize that the Soviet states were still independent nations that didn't "belong" to Russia?
That depends on what you mean by "broke away".

Are you claiming Russia did not have a lot of influence in Ukraine before Obama stole it by coup? The soviets took Ukraine in late 1919 and made it their colony much like the USA made Cuba their colony after the Spanish/American war.

The USA is sore about losing Cuba and Russia is sore about losing Ukraine. The USA tried to invade Cuba and Russia is trying to do the same in Ukraine. It really is no different.

No just the usual cold war clash between the US and a Russian backed communist regime on its door step, do you think they were trying to claim Vietnam and Chile. ‘Regime change” is the phrase your looking for.

A lot of malignant influence does not equate to ownership you halfwit.
Ukraine is and was an independent state and if they want to have a coup to oust a president who was colluding with Putin against the wishes of the Ukrainian people then they are perfectly entitled to do that without being invaded by an imperialist neighbour. It’s an internal issue.

-Removed-
When you think of the culture wars some US and European right wingers have an affinity with the current regime in Russia.
Most US right wingers I would say have been more pro Ukraine than some left wingers to be fair.
MB is neither it just supports and propagates whatever causes the most division in the west in general.

Then Cuba is and was an independent state the USA should leave be and stop trying to overthrow it. Right?

All of that applies to Ukraine. Russia just wants regime change there.

Cuba was never annexed by the USA - or show me the link.

Bay of Pigs and several assassination attempts on Castro is because America in the cold war was paranoid
about having a communist country in our hemisphere, not to mention right next door.

I'm saying here, I am right wing and pro Ukraine by a long shot,

Right now, Vladimir Putin is the most dangerous man that ever lived. I fear the cornered madman with the bomb.
