Christians should not be President, because the Christian religion demands national obedience to Israel. See Isaiah 60:12.
The scripture in quesiton says, "For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you will perish; yes, those nations will be utterly wasted." Now if you read on to verse 19 it says, "The sun will be no more your light by day, neither for brightness will the moon give light to you, but the Lord will be an everlasting light, and you God you glory." This entire chapter is a prophetic verse about a kingdom that will be established after the Messiah returns.
Now lets get back to your premise that the US bows to Israel because it is the "Christian" thing to do. If you really think that the US government is "Christian" then I really don't know what to say. I mean, we can't even pray in our public schools and abortion has become another form of birth control. All I can say is wake up!! Israel is nothing more than a pawn in the global grab for power and money.

My premise is that the US should not have a Christian President. If there's a religion with a holy book that says "all nations must obey the Great Russian Bear in all things" (or the Church of Scientology, to use a more realistic example) I wouldn't want that person to be President either.
This was a 2002 article:
Evangelical Christians have overwhelmed the White House switchboard in recent weeks with phone calls urging President Bush to continue supporting Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. In early May, more than 250 Christian leaders attended a prayer breakfast at the Israeli embassy. Last week, former Christian Coalition chairman Ralph Reed announced the formation of a Christian "Stand for Israel" campaign.

We should not have as leader a man who gets this kind of pressure and then turns to his Bible for guidance about what to do!
Influential men like Orel Roberts, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell have preached this nonsense.

England declared him a terrorist, after he sabotaged a stack of tea (yeah... I know) and that was the first noted use of the word terrorist/terrorism.

And before that he was pronounced a terrorist by the English.
The French revolution was in 1789.
So, there you go.
