Right. I think the better comparison though is the percentage of hospitalized COVID patients who are vaccinated, which is less than 5%.

The vaccine is free and safe. Unless you're in elementary school there's no reason not to get it.
So do you believe a person who has already had covid needs to be vaccinated?

That's a good question.
If one has already had covid, then their body has already built up an immunity to the virus that they were exposed too. In a sense, they have already been vaccinated. However, they would not be so immune to a mutated strain of the virus. They would have some immunity, but not the full immunity that is possible.

Actually, from what I have seen on the subject, the body recognizes slight mutations as well.

You may be correct. "Slight mutations." If the mutation becomes a large change, then not so much.

Why are we saying vaccinations are the only form of immunity?
Who is saying that?

I had covid before it was even called covid.
I've heard I am stronger now but who knows?
.....Sorry to hear about the Covid.......
that it was a mild dose, I mean.

Anyone who claims vaccinations are required for all.

So far the mutations are still slight. If the shape changes even these vax will not work.

That is not true. The vaccinated are not exposed to the whole virus, just the spike protein. The unvaccinated are exposed to the whole virus so their immune system can recognize the whole virus giving them much better immunity than the gene vaccine.

I agree with you here.
However, What I said is also true.
Who wants to get covid so that if they happen to live threw it, that they will then have better immunity? Why risk death by getting covid in the first place? An up-to-date vaccine helps prevent one from getting sick from covid in the first place: and, it also helps stop the spread.

Correct. That is why we must keep up with the current mutated virus that is being spread around.

It doesn't help stop the spread. You have been misinformed.

lol okay. Thanks for letting me know. Your addy fits you will. 🙂

"For example, vaccines targeting rotavirus, a common cause of diarrhoea in infants, are only capable of preventing severe disease. But this has still proven invaluable in controlling the virus. In the US, there has been almost 90 percent fewer cases of rotavirus-associated hospital visits since the vaccine was introduced in 2006. A similar situation occurs with the current poliovirus vaccines, yet there is hope this virus could be eradicated globally"[your article para 4].

Happen to live through it? The odds of a young person being killed by covid is something like 1 in 10k.

Unless you have a serious issue with your immune system and are young, you will survive just fine.

Even the CDC admitted it.
