Why are we saying vaccinations are the only form of immunity?
The safest way to obtain a reasonable level of immunity for me would be vaccination but I have controlled type 2 and mild COPD.
But given the tendency for virus’s to mutate seasonally tweaked vaccinations are probably the best long term solution for most if not all people

@wildgrass saidMost people have already had covid. Many of them were asymptomatic. It isn't the vaccine that is working, it is natural herd immunity more than the vaccines. Plus the vaccinated are spreading the virus to the unvaccinated who have not been infected yet. They are part of the problem. They now feel free to mix and mingle with people again and the vaccinated are the super spreaders now.
Right. I think the better comparison though is the percentage of hospitalized COVID patients who are vaccinated, which is less than 5%.
The vaccine is free and safe. Unless you're in elementary school there's no reason not to get it.
I already had covid. I am a bit a a recluse. If I have had it most people in Michigan have surely had already. We are closer to herd immunity just because we are all getting it in MI. Most of the old people here have already died so we have a relatively low death rate, but a higher infection rate. We should let that continue. It will happen sooner or later anyway. The new variants are resistant to vaccines and more will come.
