'It is written, therefore it is' - you cannot doubt the written rugby sports history of thousands of rugby authors who categorically state that 'William Webb Ellis (a Brit) invented rugby , or can we/ should we/ must we? Are there any other so called 'facts',religiously indoctrinated into us, that some of us have the gall to question/challenge?
You forget that knowledge is power! the dominant people or establishment will always try to keep ahead of the Jones'. So the more valid a claim from the invisible ones (natives) the more counter resistance from the top power brokers (Europeans). The European stock in your case to do with colonisation control the media and Publishing companies and use these to reinforce the so called status quo. I have read another of your postings and you would be hard pressed to expect a European to relinquish their knowledge base which translates into their power base
and I must say I would agree that going by your argument there is certainly doubt about the British inventing rugby so a gennuine grievance as that example shoold be rectified and so knowl should be challenged

So many rumors have spread about Studebaker Hoch.
Consider this rumor, which was published about three weeks
ago in Rolling Stone (Oh, it's gotta be true!):
Studebaker Hoch can write The Lord's Prayer on the head of a pin! (No!)
Anyone who isn't already familiar with this modern
operetta might be amused to hear it.

Not something I would say - and I also would not say: 'It is spoken, therefore it is'
Even if Murray Deaker says it!
