She was in her 70s you clown her long flowing locks were long gone but if you knew anything about her you’d have known she’s always preferred the shorter hair styles.

I don't think that was considered okay back then, the U.S. was incredibly religious. Bond also slept around with many women, which flew in the face of what was acceptable in the early 60's.

That scene was amazing because it's something men wished they could do; to be so macho, tough and appealing to women that they could do what Bond did in that scene. A regular joe from the 60's could never do that in real life.
