Why didn't the hospitals give them a raise to keep them? I thought that is how capitalism is supposed to work.

@metal-brain saidI just dont have time to click on links, no offense, and anyway I am only interested in the ideas of Posters. I can say that if there is no contract of employment, specifically restricting the right of an employee to quit, the court cannot restrict them from quitting.

This block was for only 7 workers. And it wasn't a block on quitting, it was a block on starting work at a new hospital until those workers could be replaced at the hospital they were already working at.
