@shallow-blue saidOh I've got a multitude of pulchritude, shallow-dude. You have no idea. It totally happened. I'd testify before the Senate, but I'm afraid of moving vehicles so I'd have to go on horseback.
Don't fool yourself. Nobody would bother to assault a crawling slug, so nobody would believe anyone would do that to you.
@AverageJoe1
So let's see, Kamela gets chosen, then with a 50 50 senate, she has to give the deciding vote? Ok, everyone, I vote for ME. Thank you SO much.....

@quackquack saidWhen you pick a white rapist and a white mentally ill evangelical is that racist?
Everyone should have a problem with allocating benefits based on race.
It is made worse by essentially being a legal bribe to a minority group for their campaign support.
Racist would be barring a particular skin colour from an office not including everyone.
@sleepyguy saidWhat a first class guy you are.
That's all that matters, obviously.
Whoever he picks, I'd like it to be known that she sexually assaulted me 30 years ago at a party somewhere. Can't really remember the details but it was really bad.
Ya' mook 😛
@Sleepyguy (on black female pick) - "That's all that matters, obviously."
The dems would go nuts with Woopie Goldburg in there. Who cares about functionability?? B'Jezus, get away!
@earl-of-trumps saidContrary to right wing beliefs, there are a multitude of qualified judges and legal scholars who are black women.

@no1marauder saidIs it unjust that we dont have an of-color citizenized greek on the court? Just asking, any answer will be fine.
Nope. Racist is someone believing that one "race" is superior or inferior to another "race".
That obviously has nothing to do with deciding to end the injustice of the US never having had a black female on the SCOTUS.
Cuban?

@averagejoe1 said14% of the US population is Black and more than 50% are women yet not a single one of the 115 persons appointed to the SCOTUS has been a black woman. Obviously, prejudice was the main factor.

It's high time we fixed that and named a qualified black woman to the country's highest court.
I like Leondra Kruger of the California Supreme Court. Three reasons make her preferable to the other qualified black female candidates:
1. She has extensive experience as a law clerk to both Federal appeals judges and SCOTUS justice John Paul Stevens, worked as the second highest lawyer in the US Solicitor General's office for 6 years and has been on the California Supreme Court since 2015. None of the other major candidates have so varied and impressive a resume;
2. Some of the other candidates were just recently elevated to Federal judgeships. It would be better to leave them in these positions, which are also underrepresented by black women, rather than have to do confirmation fights for those positions;
3. At 45, she'd most likely be on the court for decades.
What black woman do you think is most qualified for the SCOTUS, Joe?
@no1marauder saidIronic, we agree. Krueger indeed. But I do have a problem with Biden using race to determine the next judge. As I agree with you, I hope you would agree with me that merit is the only qualification that should be considered. Too bad. I guess our country keeps traveling down ‘that road.’

@averagejoe1 said"Merit" has never been the only qualification for a SCOTUS nominee.

@no1marauder saidGosh, can you libs not settle down? Being able to talk is probably a bigger requirement, you got me there!
"Merit" has never been the only qualification for a SCOTUS nominee.
But seriously, since they could type their discussion remarks to appear on a screen, I now re-state....ability to talk is NOT as important as merit.
I am saying that merit is the NUMBER 1 qualification. Skin color, maybe culture, is a bit south of that.
Lord, I am bracing for the links !
