I don't think so. If you consider the tens of thousands of square miles of forest that have been clear cut to make room for farmland, I think agriculture has been a disaster as far as CO2 goes.

True I guess, but once the forest has been cut, harvesting crops does not release additional CO2 into the atmosphere.
