I think you need to keep off the mind altering drugs, I KNOW there are laws against victimless crimes, a law against suicide is one of them. I'm saying how can there be a crime if there is no victim. Busybodies and control freaks have their definition of "crime" and I have mine.
I'm a bit torn on this. For the most part it makes sense, but should we let people drive drunk and 100 miles an hour so long as they don't hit anyone?

They endanger other people, that's why it's illegal (and rightly so). This reasoning could be extended to doing drugs and driving in a backdrop where drug consumption is legal.

Doing drugs in your own home doesn't directly endanger others like drunk driving would.

never mind... on second read it looks like you agree.

The role of guvamint is to protect your life, liberty and private property...but not from yourself. This means the guvamint has a duty to act against objective threats to your life, liberty and private property. A couple of examples; drunk driving on public roads (not private roads, it is for the property ownmers to set the conditions), maniacs in control of aircraft (if they pose a threat i.e. within certain distances of cities etc) stopping your neighbour from building a nuclear bomb in his back yard.

So going back to the aircraft example, if you want to fly on a plane full of gun toting gun toters and you can find an airline that agrees then you should be able to, but make sure it's out at sea or somewhere that peaceful freedom loving people don't have to fear a plane falling on their heads.

If a person suicides, we might say they are a victim of depression, or faulty philosophy, or whatever, but they are not a victim of themself...if they're dead that was their intention, a law against suicide is a law against a victimless crime, which IMHO is not a crime.

This is quite a minarchist view of the government. I don't think there is one single government in the world that conforms to that view, nor do I agree that such a minimal government is desirable.

Drugs, Prostitution, Gambling. All the things that don't hurt others, if made legal, would cut street crime and gang violence. Everything would be safer. Drug raids are a waste of time and money. Innocent people and officers get hurt because of the fight against these small things.
I agree with drugs ( in a limited way ) and safe sexual commerce , but gambling ? perhaps in few places ...

You must have a personal reason, as I feel gambling is the least destructive of the others.

I have thoroughly enjoyed both drugs and hookers in my life; I have also considered suicide. I never got hooked by gambling though. Maybe it's because I never hit a jackpot? Gambling bores the hell out of me; slots and other purely random games that is. I do like poker.
