Indeed. I just checked and saw a poll that showed that two out of three retards intend on voting for Obamer.
You know what you should do? Go down to the VA Hospital. They got these guys and ladies with..get this..no legs! Oh man, hilarious, you'd die laughing. Bet all those cripples and gimps vote for Obama to since they're so stupid, huh?
Originally posted by sh76So does that mean you think Obama can win with an unemployment rate of 8% or higher? I kind of doubt the rate will fall below that by November.
The sample size is too small for that to be a reliable indicator of what will happen.
Even if it does it will only be because when people's unemployment benefits run out they are no longer counted as being unemployed. Not really an accurate way to count the unemployed. Also, people who are jobless don't vote by what number they are told to believe. They tend to vote for whoever they feel is better to help them become employed.

I don't think there are in general any inherent silver bullets with or without which a candidate "can't win."
Originally posted by Metal BrainI doubt the unemployment rate will drop below 7.2%. Regardless, I think Obama will win mostly because of the GOP's failure to field a credible candidate, and in a two-party system you only need to make the other guy look worse than you to win.
It is worth noting that no incumbent president has won re-election with an unemployment rate higher than 7.2%
Do you think that number can be reached before the election this fall? If not, do you think Obama can win with an unemployment rate above that number?
Originally posted by sh76Wouldn't you think that with a strong womwn and minority turnout that its a sure Obama victory? Even if things get dicey those may still turn out for our president.
Yes, I think he can win with an unemployment rate of 8% or higher. 8% is an arbitrary figure that's already built into polling, which shows Obama with a slight edge.

Originally posted by sh76It depends on the poll. It is basically a toss up, but you have to consider that they have not had a debate yet. It is a bit early to say Obama has any kind of edge.

Personally, I think Romney was a poor choice as far as electability goes. The corporate news media pushed the idea of Romney being more electable, but Santorum would have been a better choice to beat Obama in my opinion. Health care hypocrisy was not an issue with Santorum. Also, my girlfriend doesn't feel Romney is a guy she would trust.
Despite those things, Obama is a deeply deceptive panderer and that will come out during the debates. Anybody that thinks Obama will get an easy win is mistaken.
Originally posted by Metal BrainSo basically, if Obama loses, despite the the Romney lack of electability thing, you will have been seen to have been spot on about the 8% unemployment thing, and if Obama wins, despite the the 8% unemployment thing, you will have been seen to have been spot on about the Romney electability thing. Right?

Romney would have to pick Ron or Rand Paul for his veep for me to change my mind on this. Do you see that happening?
