The EC as they amended it is unfair.

So how is proposing an amendment according to procedures outlined in the Constitution "attacking it"? Was the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery an "attack" on the Constitution? When women were no longer denied their right to vote because of the 19th Amendment was that an "attack" on the Constitution? Right wingers have been pushing an economically foolish Balanced Budget Amendment for decades; are they "attacking" the Constitution?
