They do have a say in the matter. It is taxation WITH representation. And yes it seems fair to me. I'm in favor of higher taxes and more progressive taxation (that means making rich people pay a higher percent than poor people). If we had the tax structure of the 1950's we would have a larger middle class and less poverty than now. The tax reforms of Reagan and th ...[text shortened]... re the reason we have so many homeless, so much crime and so many insane people walking the streets.
From burning a flag in Iraq to this ? Jumping Jupiter, man.

As you know, I think taxation is illegal because it is nothing more than the Mafia's protection rackets
where you pay the Big Boys and they protect you by not arresting you. But while we still have taxation, try this:

Nobody pays income tax on any government level for the first $200K.
Then, people pay on any excess beyond $200k at say - 35%.

You know why it won't work... because of the democrats that want to control everyone. that's why.

Well, Kev,

the commies tried for many years to weed religion out of society, oh well.
Maybe we should legalise rape and murder then because if a bad thing persists despite our best efforts I guess we should embrace it.
My point is there is no such thing as a sacred text and no one’s delusional beliefs should be protected in any way where they encroach on the personal freedoms of others.

Earl: Of course.
I have always staunchly refused to allow people who practice Sharia Law entry to America just for that reason.

Do you agree?

Peace loving people do not force their religious views on non religious people or people of other religions.
I think you’re being obtuse by not getting my point about popularity not being synonymous with ok or worthwhile.

EoT: I agree, if you mean physical force. No, they cannot do that. They can speak though, as in freedom of speech.

EoT: I can't recall your point, but I can tell you here that popularity is not necessarily a ok or worthwhile thing.
Case in point: For the first hundred years of America's existence, slavery was quite popular.
