@the qu1ck:
Compared to 911 ? Every day there are starving approx. 10,000 children in the 3rd world.
How important is London or NY compared to these figures. But it remains sad for the families of the two dead peoples families.

Your 2nd post:
And exactly that is the main target of terror. If you change your behaviour and put the pressure on your own people they already have won. That´s it. So instead of changing the laws lets change the circumstances that lead those people to their actions.

Not in the G8 way but better (instead of financial presents get rid of the unfair taxes and customs fees on their food products. Buit hey that would mean the lifestyle will go down in our countries and who would wanted that ?

I think anyone of us would be prepared to make sacrifices to improve Africa. It's just that our governments are too blind to the wishes of their people and too intent on holding onto what they have to even consider trying.
The people of the US and Britain protested about the Iraq war, it made no difference. They got together to support live8 on a massive scale, it will make little difference.

Governments aren't bad but they are bigoted and often out of touch. The effects we are seeing are part of a much larger process, one that we have entrusted our governments with. We cannot stop the war or feed Africa but we can react against the choices of our governments.
Maybe this is why there is so much money poured into television? Every film made means a billion less sentences uttered, a billion less things discussed.

Our actions aren't changed by the terrorists but by our governments.
There are no winners in this game.

The only way to do this is to increase surveillance. It began in America with airports and no doubt will continue in Britain with public transport due to this attack.
Internet conversations and phone calls have been and are being monitored more and more close ...[text shortened]... top and searches have increased dramatically.
Every attack represents another loss of freedom.
Were falling into the trap of doing exactly what the terrorists want. To lose freedom would be a dire shame.

Mochiron, it seems that in my own odd way I owe you an appology.
On my way back from work today I was thinking about todays events, thinking so hard in fact that I left my bag on the bus!! It seems my stupidity knows no bounds. Don't worry, it was a flat bag with nothing in it and I reported it straight in but it got me thinking some more (checks pocket for mobile and wallet).
We all say silly things and do stupid things sometimes that under different circumstances we would find amusing.
I get what you're saying, it's important to keep our sense of humour or we all truly are in the hands of the terrorists. I'm sorry to hear your country has it's own threats. I hope we don't become as practiced as you at making the best out of it.

btw there are a good no. of excellent pubs nr no.10. You don't think they put parliament there for the scenery do you??

My sympathy and sorrow are with the people of the UK. I am sad for all the families that have been attacked by these 8th century barbarians. I hope that the people of the UK can hold up to this mindless, religious facism.

May not too many fail to see the enemy for who and what they are. And may they not mix up "cause" and "effect".

Just remember that Islamofacists have been killing innocent people since at least 1991. Maybe earlier, but we didn't take heed. Did we?

We thought it was a "crime" problem. Didn't we. And I include myself in this. I didn't dare to think the unthinkable. There really are a half-billion religious nuts out there willing to kill themselves to bring back the 8th century. If you need or want to know what Al'Queada is... just study the Taliban fer' goodness sakes. It's the model that the Caliphate is to be based on.

If you get cause and effect mixed up, just ask who you support. Tony Blair who is leading brave men and women in a war to remove burkha's and allow women to not be beheaded for showing their ankle in public? Or the islamofacists who want facism as a way to heaven?

Make no mistake. The moment the Iraqi people went to the Polls and voted... their war was no longer about Saddam or WMD. Their war became a war of survival against an enemy that is primitive, vicious, cruel, stupid and determined. Thank God for the people of Great Britain who had the courage to do the "right" thing without caving in to the "popular" thing. God save the Queen.

No. It will go completely un-noticed...

On a different note, I'm mildly surprised at that bunch of earthlings in that it's even gotten blown out of proportion on their news. They're calling it the the "worst terrorist attack in britain", but that's probably only because it's killed maybe 10 more than any IRA bomb ever did...

Let me guess. By lessening the butchery and slaughter and demeaning it to an implied "trivial" matter you are doing what?

Do you ever stop to think before spouting your hate?

I'm sure that the people killed today by your heros know you as the enemy. If not now, then someday.

Like the cameras in a big brother film, behind one way mirrors. You look and all you can see is yourself. Truly frightening..

Let's see... hmmm... A guy in love with himself, who is writing a scary story on RHP about the end of the world? Whap! Whap! Whap!

Kind of? A guy who looks in the mirror and sees all sorts of frightening things?

Ok. I give up. What?

The "dead"? or "the quick and the dead"?
