@AThousandYoung saidEngland is a small country, for starters (never mind its former grand ambitions).
Who has time to drive a tractor across the country to protest a tax on millionaires - the white tenant farm worker described in the Grapes of Wrath excerpt I posted above - or the owner with the tractor and 50,000 acres?
Looking at the map, it's probably just a three-minute drive from Sheffield to London even by tractor (for instance).
From across the pond, I appreciate the demonstration and the lack of merde-slinging.
Who do those chronic blabbers in Parliament think feed them or at least their constituents?
@Cliff-Mashburn saidYou have millionaire relatives with vast estates of land? Who do they hire to do the work?
I've been on farms in Ohio, Iowa, Wisconsin, because I had family there that were farmers. Never saw any Mexicans.
And you tell me where in England you expect to see any.
Just can't help yourself, can you? Gotta make out like white people don't do anything but sit back and let the brown people do all the work.

Migrant Farm Laborers Harder and Harder to Get
Alayna DeMartini
Nov. 6, 2017
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio’s agricultural industry heavily depends on an ever-shrinking number of migrant workers from Mexico and Central America, many of them undocumented
...Several fields or partial fields in Sandusky County went unharvested because not enough staff could get to them before they rotted, said Allen Gahler, the county’s Extension educator. Crops such as tomatoes, cabbages and peppers need to be harvested right on time or they get overripe and spoil.
@AThousandYoung saidThis was the first post of yours that I saw in this thread, and I wasn't sure whether you might have been ironic or sarcastic -- but as things developed, I think I can appreciate your point of view:
Get competent farmers on that land and increase food production. Apparently the current owners are not managing their farms efficiently.
If they can spend the money and take the time to drive to London, then they are not really poor farmers on the brink of killing themselves out of poverty and despair.
But it's still a pretty cool demonstration, especially against the blabbing class!
