External borders - you plonker. ie the borders on the outside of the EU.
Like the border between the EU and the UK has always been.
@kevcvs57 saidAnd not before time one might say. It would be far better for all concerned for the UK to leave on friendly, equitable and negotiated terms than for the shutters to be closed down completely. There's still time for a deal, just.....
Looks like Johnson is having a clear out of his non elected arch no deal Brexiteer’s.
This could be good news for those trying to negotiate a deal and for grown up government in the UK.
They’ll be raising many glasses of champers in Whitehall tonite.
@earl-of-trumps saidSuck it, you incel.

Anyhoo... as Gove says: “The penny is dropping in the EU that Britain is going to be a soveriegn nation.”, Barnier jokes with a photo about level playing fields.
And such is the truth of the matter.
The EU knows the UK is a foreign entity, the UK just hasn’t accept that fact yet.
Making them think the EU is going to treat them as an EU nation, with the same benefits, but with none of the commitence.
And that’s the crux of the problems in the negotiations:
The UK, an island governed by incompetent tories, a minor economy, too many teenage pregnancies and so much child poverty that Ethiopia is holding a benefit concert for them, thinks it is equal to one of the largest trading blocks in the world.
The UK thinks the EU wrong that they say: “You want a trade deal? You don’t undercut the playing field.”
And anyone who thinks about that demand for more than 10 seconds will realise it’s completely realistic and the EU would be daft not to demand it.
And fishing rights? Fishing companies have paid for the rights to fish in UK waters (and vise-versa). You can’t just dispand those contracts without compensation.
Personally, as the EU, I would just tell the Brits: buy off the contracts. And as EU buy off British contracts.
But the UK doesn’t want to do that...
-Removed-No dive it’s about freedom of movement between the states for security reasons, it won’t stop an attack from someone resident in the target state but it will make it harder for them to evade capture by skipping merrily through two or three neighbouring states unchecked.
It has nothing to do with immigration in a legal or policy sense, it would probably make it harder for migrants / refugees to travel through Europe to their preferred state.
@shavixmir saidyour inbreeding has paid off sparklingly
