It's more than 7 miles.
The ferry takes 45 minutes to go from the island to the mainland and then, who knows how much further.

I'd say 22 miles plus.

The disgusting part is DeSantis getting people by deceptive means in TEXAS and ship them to a destination not announced till they were almost there, no place to go except for the fact DeSantis underestimated the people in Martha's Vinyard welcomed them I imagine much to the disgust of DeSantis. SHAME on DeSantis for pulling off a crazy political stunt that will backfire on his sorry ass.

This is the run I am familiar with, but as I am seeing, ,there are closer points than this, so "as the crow flies" may be 7 miles
