5 GOP-led states extend unemployment aid to workers who lose jobs over vaccine mandates

All last year, Republicans kept complaining that unemployment benefits during a deadly pandemic were making people lazy and hurting businesses because people won't want to work.

Now, here they are supporting people who refuse to work just because they don't want to get vaccinated.

Stunning hypocrisy from the GOP is no longer surprising.

Guess you are not really that bright.

If you are forced out of work, you are not unemployed due to laziness.

Sorry I had to explain that to you.

Hypocrisy, yes,
stunning, no.

So, if you lose a job for any
other reason doesn't count, I guess.

They weren't "forced out of work", they *chose* not to get vaccinated.

You'd a fit right in in 1930's Germany when they started forcing people to be sterilized or euthanized.

Being terminated for refusal to follow reasonable health and safety measures imposed by an employer is considered voluntary unemployment and thus makes you ineligible for unemployment benefits.

That's why these States had to make a change in the rules that only applies to vaccine refusers and not to say a cook that refuses to wear a hairnet.

DOO, Do you ever make sense?
What, on earth does a mandated
vaccine---polio, smallpox, tuberculosis --
among others, routinely given every day
have to do with forced sterilization in NAZI Germany?

A shallow misleading post. You libs have no idea of freedom and liberty. Imagine. If you will, some entity taking away your freeom. That is what mandates do. Are you with me here? So here, the entity is the govt, or Jill Biden, or whomever.
If govt takes away freedom, republicans prob have no recourse but to ask said govt to cover these people , since they were robbed by their govt of freedom.
Do you think that the republicans should sit idly by and allow these unconstitutionally mandates to take away freedom. Y’all are extremely wesk with your posts. Can you at least say that we should NOT try to protect prople who are wronged by our hovt?
Just say it, dammit. Oops lost my temper……

You have no legitimate "freedom" to give others deadly diseases.

What about the cook that has to wear a hair net - has his "freedom" been unconstitutionally infringed?

What of all the vaccine mandates
in place now?
Vaccines for children to go to school,
there are mandatory vaccines to enter
the military.
Are ''they'' taking away my freedoms when
they require me to have insurance on my car,
to wear a seatbelt, to wear a motorcycle helmet?
There were a number of prosecutions for deliberate
transmission of AIDS......
A Iess than average argument, as usuaI.

But the govt has no constitutional right to mandate. You libs are missing the news. Hey, if i get on a subway with a contagious flu, I am within my rights to do so. No govt entity can tell me that i can’t. No legal mandate.

The hair net is a rule of an employer. I had dinner out tonight. No hairnets in sight, what the hell are you talking about?!? What mandate?
Your first statement above is general and open ended. For one thing, my granny has emphysema. Catching a cold vould kill her. A guy with a cold on the subway could kill her with what can be considered a deadly disease. He has freedom to get on the subway with a cold. So how do you respond to this scenario ??
No diff, Marauder

Yeah. That’s right. Nearly exactly the same thing…

The government doesn’t have the right to mandate?
So seatbelts? Helmets? Taxes? Draft?

Seriously man, you talk so much 💩, the flies have infested the smelly hole which once housed your brain.
