@cosmic-energy4 saidWhat other countries have tyrannical dictators who are involved with drug cartels, like Maduro? If Russia, China or North Korea go after any of those, that would be a cause for celebration.
The action of US towards venezuela, and future Greenland,gives green lights to Russia,China and possible North Korea to follow suit.
@Rajk999 saidI don't think Greenland has very much to do with drug cartels. Any move on Greenland would put the US in direct confrontation with Denmark, which would be a whole new kettle of fish....Let's hope that doesn't happen.

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidYes we have our fair share of these and I am happy Trump decided to go after these South American drug cartels and kill off some drug runners in the sea. Since then things have subsided. Last year, 2024 we had over 600 murders [mostly gang related], and this year gone, 2025 its down to a bit over 400. That can only be attributed to Trump's attack on these drug runners.
Isn't your own country infested with criminal gangs?
So I celebrate with Venezuelans all over the world as well. We live on the ground. You are somewhere in your safe British semi-detached house, living the life and looking to condemn Trump for acting.
@Indonesia-Phil saidTrump is only talking about Greenland. His real focus are all these people who abuse others, and if they have oil or some other resource, he will take some of it, to cover his expenses. I fully agree. So far

Hamas
Iran
Nigeria Muslims
Syrian ISIS
Venezuelan Dictators
Next might be Cuba
@Rajk999 saidHe's 'talking about' Greenland with a little too much persistence. To be even talking about military action against another NATO country seem like the insane ramblings of an increasingly insane and paranoid mind. Republicans are quick enough to (rightly) question Biden's fitness for office during his latter years as President, but seem incapable of rational analysis of Trump's thought processes and actions. These are dangerous times, requiring rational thought, before the danger becomes an even worse reality.

Welcome to China.
As a line from a Chinese song goes: "When friends come, there is fine wine; when enemies come, there is a shotgun."
US can test for himself whether what he’ll face is fine wine or a shotgun.
@Indonesia-Phil saidThe Greenland claim is nonsense, and nobody will support Trump doing that. So far Trump is doing good things for many groups of abused people. Do I need to repeat the list? Venezuelans are rejoicing. Recently Christians in Nigeria were happy. Many Iranians were happy when Trump bombed Irans weapons facilities. Iran hates their government.

These were all people who were ignored while they were being killed and abused. Countries were focusing on international law and the atrocities were allowed to continue. Something is wrong with the world when this happens. Trump does not care and he goes in... deal with the fallout later. I support that.
Up next it appears to be Colombia, the source of much of South American drug activity.
@Rajk999 saidNobody involves Mrs. Miller, whose husbnand is quite a number in Trumps circles.

@Ponderable saidMaybe you should explain.
Nobody involves Mrs. Miller, whose husbnand is quite a number in Trumps circles.
@Ponderable saidWell that whole idea, as was the Gulf of America fiasco, is not going to be well received. There are many hot spots and trouble areas around the world that need real help. If Trump goes after these issues he will be a hero to many.
You wrote that Nobody would support Trump's claim on Denmark.
However katie Miller, the wife of sepehn Miller apparently did just that by posting a grenland map in stars and stripes.
And no, that is not a joke and not funny at all.
He has a streak of madness in his brain that cause him to go after petty nonsense sometimes.
@cosmic-energy4
I am more concerned that the US military followed illegal orders. I suspect that this incursion into Venezuela was a dress rehearsal. Trump now knows that the military will back him, for example, if elections don’t go Trump‘s way, and he should decide to declare the elections invalid and invoke emergency powers for himself.
@shippingtest saidNeither, it is a slingshot.
