@cheesemaster saidWhy do you think that matters?
That is a bunch of small countries that decided to call themselves EU.
Are any of them as big as the USA and have 350 million?
One could say the US was a bunch of small political entities that decided to call themselves the "United States".
While hardly perfect, the ACA dropped the percentage of those withhout health insurance 17.4% in 2011 to 10% in 2016. https://www.kff.org/uninsured/issue-brief/key-facts-about-the-uninsured-population/
The US isn't terribly far from universal health coverage and the obstacles to obtaining it are really not coming from "moderate Democratic politicians" and certainly not from AOC and Bernie Sanders.
A small country/population has no problem building enough hospitals and clinics.
The USA is huge and has 350 million+
They are way behind as far as the amount of hospitals and clinics needed to care for 350 million.
I'm not saying they can't get "tax us healthcare" (it's not free, I hate that term)
I'm just saying y'all would have to build a lot before it could happen.
@cheesemaster saidThe US is behind most developed countries in hospital beds per capita: https://www.healthsystemtracker.org/chart-collection/u-s-health-care-resources-compare-countries/#item-hospitals-per-1000000-population-1990-2017

Here's a thought; maybe rather than spending $750 billion on the military and a couple extra hundred billion on wars all over the globe, we could reallocate some of that money to building hospitals?
Crazy, I know.
@cheesemaster saidYeah, I remember Trump insisting on big cuts in the military budget and diverting those funds into building hospitals.
Blame the demotards for wars and extended wars.
Trump didn't start any.
Obama did.and continued a war that he said "if elected I will bring the troops home!"
Next day he sends more 🙄
Dementia Joe will start a war.
So deal with your party. 😉
@cheesemaster saidAre you referring to a theoretical and possibly imaginary hospital and clinic shortage ? Good imagination there .
I said you have a hospital and clinic shortage.
I did not say anything about theoretical cost/savings.
Pay attention.
@caissad4 saidCrickets from the Right
Unlike the rest of the World , the US provides little more than crumbs for its' citizens during the greatest health crisis in a century .
Even many Progressives have ceased fighting for the American people . They act as if there is actually something more important
than dealing with this pandemic . With a daily death toll greater than 9/11 in the US all we hear are cricket ...[text shortened]... c in a century .
We need REAL Progressive leadership , not the feckless display we are now seeing .
Crickets from the Left
No surprise
@cheesemaster saidThen we need to show our strength. How about a French style revolution?
Ya well people don't like the idea of paying for the weak.
🙄
@cheesemaster saidIronically it’s usually weak people who don’t like paying for the weak, you should get down the Gym or even out of bed.

@Duchess64
...............I don't understand.........Canada can do it as well as France, Germany, Great Britai9n, Spain, Netherlands, even poor little Cuba, and on and on.......Why can't we?
Do you think that if BIG PHARMA wanted universal care, we would get it done?
