@AverageJoe1 saidScience. People can now be parents of a child without being its mother or father.
So, can you tell us why this has to be changed after 250 years? Please. Something we can get a handle on.
What has changed that would require tweaking of that which is being changed?
@sh76 saidImproving the lives of the people in a way that costs nothing. Seems like a good idea to me.
Sure it doesn't really affect anyone, but it's just another Dem own-goal.
Most people couldn't care less about this, but they'll look at this and think "they're really wasting their time on this crap??" It's impossible to take the liberal politicians seriously when they waste their time on this garbage.

@no1marauder saidI’m sorry? This is already covered by legal guardians , adoptive , or foster care, all parents. anyone who nurtures and cares for a child. Adoption or foster care, these are parents. Give me a break. You are reaching as usual..
Science. People can now be parents of a child without being its mother or father.
This is exactly why many Americans have grown weary of the constant effort to reinvent language that has served society well for centuries. …. certainly for our last 250 years. The words “mother” and “father” are not offensive-they describe a biological reality that nearly everyone understands. Replacing them with bureaucratic phrases like “gestating parent” and “non-gestating parent” doesn’t make family law clearer; it makes it colder, more confusing, and more detached from ordinary life. And queer, so queer. You people seethe. You are offended.
Changing legal language that has worked for generations to satisfy a small ideologicallmovement strikes many people as unnecessary. Not every tradition needs to be discarded simply because it is old Sometimes the simplest, clearest words are still the best ones. Like Sonhouse writes. Why would we change the way he writes, or change Shavs language?
I’m sure you could come up with a reason a totally unacceptable one by natural normal citizen.
This trembling Hochul woman is a f’n mess, Mamdani et al own her,
@no1marauder saidTranslated, this is saying that before now, people COULD NOT be parents of a child without being their mother or father.
Science. People can now be parents of a child without being its mother or father.
That is not true
@no1marauder saidA pregnant female who has never had a child IS NOT the parent of the unborn baby. Haha, remember you libs have preached that a being in a womb is NOT even a baby!!!! So, HOW can the person carrying it be a parent!!?!?!?!???!?
Science. People can now be parents of a child without being its mother or father.

@AverageJoe1 saidYou can use whatever term you want, but the law should be more precise.

Why can't right wingers MTOFB?
@AverageJoe1 saidWhy are you so concerned with this? It's just a label and hurts no one.

Of course I find this sickening. But you faeries, this is what you are all about.
Can you be brave and tell normal society what this is all about. Not Suzianne, because she is still searching for def of normal.
What is your endgame?
@no1marauder saidWhy can't you leave what is set in stone alone? Look again, it does NOT need fixing.
You can use whatever term you want, but the law should be more precise.
Why can't right wingers MTOFB?
Will I have to say to my buddies at coffee that my daughter is a gestating parent? Maybe not, as it is a court thing. Well, Will I have to call her my gestating parent if I am a witness at trial where she is being prosecuted for a traffic violation.
Would those seated in the courtroom consider me a fool for referring to her as a parent when she is not?
MTFOB!?!?!? Are you affecting my business to tell me how to change the way I speak? Didn't you say that I should start referring to people with the proooonnnooooooouuns that they desire? Why dont you MYOFB. Y'all are trying to make queer people of everyone.
Use whatever terms I want? No, we have to use the term that the judge wants us to use, Marauder. We are talking about it being a court matter.
@paradox4 saidIt is not the word. It is that wokies are trying to change all that they can. Do you know Marauder et al are all for referring to people with pronouns instead of their names.
Why are you so concerned with this? It's just a label and hurts no one.
What in the hell, Paradox. are you one of those lemmings?
@no1marauder saidwhat issues were arising when using the terms mother and father?
You can use whatever term you want, but the law should be more precise.

@Suzianne saidAgain we get more nonsense from you? What does this have anything to do with feeding the homeless?
This is basically a lot of crying over nothing.
Y'all don't have to call your mom your "gestating parent". This is just for more exacting (and inclusive) legalese. That's all it's for, but you crybabies start crying that we want to change your lives. I'd be ecstatically happy if you found your selfish, intolerant selves buying lunch for a homeless person one day a week.
You're being ridickulous over nothing.
@no1marauder saidExcuse me dipsh$t. What my governor does is my business.

I've read several of Mr. Marauder's posts as well as yours. He communicates like an educated man; you communicate like someone who failed primary school, yet you claim to teach economics. I find your claim unconvincing
@AThousandYoung saidYeah, did I leave that out? The parents of my friend who is adopted , they are his parents.
Adoption?
Don’t tell me you are going to get onto marauder’s bandwagon.
