@averagejoe1 saidThat's like poetry Joe. 👍 👍
Note how he shifts from the private interest of
the citizen businessman to the interest of the state.
I feel like elaborating here to nail his communism bent, but my first sentence needs no elaboration. I think he wears grey.
@shavixmir saidThe dictionary has a totally different definition. And if ownership is theft, then it follows that theft is ownership. So if I acquire Szianne’s computer, through theft, do i then own it.?
Ownership is theft.
You and Marauder are easy pickings’ this morning.
@AverageJoe1
Their thingy about the hungry travelers reminds me of Sonhouse talking about the border invaders suffering for food, but I have seen Not One skinny person among the masses. (Oops, I have never typed the word masses before. Feels creepy)
@averagejoe1 saidThe "citizen businessman" here has no interest but what he is allowed by his landlord in furtherance of the purpose of the rest stop.

Edit: Oh, and in his reference to ‘hungry travelers’ , the masses!!!! Marx would have been nothing without the masses. But then, as it turns out, he Was nothing.
And communal property is the Natural State of Man and needs no further justification while handing chunks of natural resources to State favored individuals does.
@averagejoe1 saidIt’s simple Joe you posted the ink not having a clue as to what it contained
I said ‘government venturing into private business which is none of their business “
EVERYONE…… Marauder. 90% if the time, rewrites posts to suit him so he will, in his condescending way, look real smart.
He said that I said “It is none of government business what is done on land owned by the state”.
Jesus what a waste,
Marauder, why don’t you write about Bowl Games.
All business have to do is read the terms and conditions of any facilities they lease from whoever and if they don’t like the fact that a franchise must operate 7 days a week then do not sign the contract and go elsewhere.
Why should a landholder agree to a franchise that will only pay them and service their customers 6 days a week instead of 7. Stop being stupid. They probably have to open on Fridays and Saturdays as well so I’m expecting a Muslim and a Jew to come on here complaining any minute now 🙄
@averagejoe1 saidYes but I in turn can steal it from you 🙄

All land in the US was stolen from the indigenous population, that’s just an historical truism. With the collusion and encouragement of that government that you hate individuals just staked out and occupied land the belonged to neither them or the government
So it’s certainly fair to say of land ownership in the US is the result of theft
@no1marauder saidState favored individuals? Sorry, you gotta do a thread on that. U r off course as usual.
The "citizen businessman" here has no interest but what he is allowed by his landlord in furtherance of the purpose of the rest stop.

Query: if this particular subject is bogus, how does it rate so much ink?
You will not answer this question. And for the record, you will not answer my question regarding whether a welfare state and an open border can exist at the same time.
@kevcvs57 saidOh god not the steal from Indians gambit.
Yes but I in turn can steal it from you 🙄

3.8 million square miles was not owned by the Indians, you see. Anybody had a chance at grabbing it. Injuns shoulda put up a fence, adverse possession over that which they lived on. I would respect that move, but tribal wars being what they were (those dam Vikings, et al), they would have had to defend territory like Scots, Serbians, Texans.
You are sinking today Kev. Try a New Year’s resolution .
@kevcvs57 saidYes, you can in turn can steal it from me. And so on. In the end, who ‘owns’ it? I would think the person who had legally acquired it in the first place. But note the overlying question, would you then own something that you had stolen from me.? Can you not answer a simple question?

Too cute, just too cute. Pick it up a notch. I am thinking about shifting over to some Sunhouse screed.
@kevcvs57 saidIf you are so cocksure that everything in this scenario passes muster in every way, why in the hell doyou and sidekick Marauder think it rated a storyline. A great question from AvJoe, but for some reason, it is an unanswerable question for libbies.

Yes, of course there are other businesses at a rest stop to cater to Americans dying of hunger when they call in for gas and to take a leak. Chic Fil A are prepared to take the hit, not the goobermint, not No1, not wildgrass. And the hit they take will be capitalized on by other businesses at the rest stop. It is a gross over step by local goobermint, it is religious discr ...[text shortened]... im control over land beside the road because it's land beside the road. You can see where this goes.

Is that a mandate? I've stopped at many that are just one restaurant and a gas pump. States use rest stop revenue to pay for the road, so if a Chick Fil-A is there then there's less money for roads.
I'd wager a guess that if the rest stop were privately owned, Chick Fil-A would not be there. Unless the rest stop was owned by Chick Fil-A.
@wildgrass
All of the above lib posts are quite free-wheeling about the government…..but it is understandable, those dear hearts, mother government is a BIG deal to libs, it really is.
Make up a story about the ladies’ cooking club and work somehow the word government in there…….you will draw them like flies to cow patties. Maybe follow up with ‘Should ladies be forced (by govt) to accept men into the Club? Then ask how that squares with the swim creature Lia Slime caper.
Do you think libs know how screwed up they are?
@wildgrass saidGovernments next move could be to tell Chik how much to charge for a sandwich ??? Naaa, that couldn’t.t happen. Unless of course all you fellers continue to push for govt control and regulations. Naaaa, that couldn’t happen……could it? Sonhouse said it could. Govt pushing for power. Sonhouse is on to something!... of course there are other businesses at a rest stop
