... according to Trump.

9 new cases.

Yes, all the major parties agreed to the re-scheduled election.

The lockdown in Auckland is "Level 3" so life goes on for most people.
The rest of the country has moved to "Level 2".

The whole country suffered Level 4 lockdown for 4 (?) weeks so getting used to the new normal.

Suspect we will be at Level 1 or higher until a vaccine is created.

You do realise what trump is saying though, don’t you?

NZ has a MASSIVE outbreak...

And everyone points out it’s much smaller than in the US (and they are correct).

But NZ has postponed their election because of their outbreak...

So, if they postpone their election because of 9 new cases, what would any rational country do if they have 1000’s of new cases a day?

Just sayin’.

The flu virus has been around a very long time and has morphed into many substantial strains. I think once you have a basic vaccine it’s a lot easier to tweak it for the inevitable variations. ( He said hopefully 🤞).

It depends on the rate that the virus mutates and whether the proteins that anti-bodies attach to on the virus's surface can change, the required phenotypic shift might not be possible. The 'flu virus and corona-viruses are quite different, it's like saying because cats have fur mushrooms must as well.

Does the mutation affect the protein that anti-bodies latch onto?

When you say "decrease in it's morality" do you mean "lethality".
