After doing nothing in the senate, and offering no specifics to his "change" mantra, please tell me why Obama is worthy of being president....
Originally posted by SeitseI'm not surprised to get that response as the typical obtuse rhp Mccain bashing democrat actually has no idea why they are voting for Obama. The fact is if the democrats nominated Mccain/Palin the same rhp trolls that are on here everyday posting diatribes railing on the right would in fact find a way to support M/P on every issue.
Because it is not you.
Quite enough for me.
Originally posted by NimzovichLarsenAs far as I can tell, the only requirement for being US president -- apart from the backing of a powerful political party -- is a pulse.

You would think he would of at least authored one bill in the senate.
Are you unaware of the Lugar-Obama bill?
How about the 2007 Government Ethics Bill?
In fact, in his first year alone, he authored over 150 bills and cosponsored over 400 more. I don't
mind that you oppose Obama (I think both candidates suck). I do mind that you perpetuate
the lies about either him (or McCain, for that matter).

Do you think wikipedia is some liberal thinktank or something?
What about a site run by the US government:
thomas.loc.gov
As you can see, in this 110th Congress he's sponsored or cosponsored 130 pieces of legislation or
resolutions. Like most legislation, a lot of it is crap. But not all of it is, like SR 114, 117, 674,
713 or 1151, to name a few at first glance.
And that's only the stuff he's sponsored in this and last calendar year.
In summary, he's solely sponsored 136 pieces of legislation since elected to the Senate in 2005,
2 of which became law, and co-sponsored another 659.
McCain sponsored 181 pieces of legislation, 4 of which became law in the same time frame,
a pretty comparable number especially considering a sitting Republican President. He also co-
sponsored another 590.
All told, during the same time frame, McCain was directly involved in 771 pieces of legislation,
Obama was involved in 795 (which is 24 more pieces of legislation than McCain), all of which
is reported on a governmental website if you took 10 minutes to research your bizarre and
perverse claim before you posted it.
So, are you going to repent of what is either a bald-faced lie or utterly inexcusable ignorance
that you stated earlier in the thread?
