Should be interesting, I thought something like this may happen.

It really is going to get ugly.

The ultimate irony is that if there is no elected president by 20.1.2021, the speaker of the house assumes the office. That would be Nancy Pelosi.

Playing homphone game much? 😉

so what is the reason for this to be true?

In nearly every Country he possibility of mail Voting is offered, and in most countries this runs well. Why shouldn't it in the USA?
Because my neighbor's ballot could be accidentally put in my malbox, he being a screaming whining liberal, and I check Donald Trump and mail it in.

It's his/her misfortune for having a treasonous grifter for a neighbor.

Isn’t it more than a little hypocritical to turn a blind eye to compelling evidence that Trump’s ‘victory’ in 2016 was dubious for two reasons: a foreign power interfered in the campaign process, and the EC voted for the candidate who polled fewer votes. These are established facts.

Whereas your objection to mail-in ballots is hypothetical, not supported by any evidence. Several states have successfully implemented mail-in ballots for years. Moreover, even granting your hypothetical scenario, that a ballot lands in the wrong mail box: there is no reason to think that the ‘false’ vote would go against Trump. Unless, that is, more voters really are against Trump — in which case, he SHOULD lose the election (as he should have done last time).

You do know, that if you post your neighbour’s vote, it doesn’t count unless your neighbour has signed off on the authorization?

Mhmmm... yes. This pretty much undermines the corruption allegations and, equally, makes you and all alt-right trump supporters look like leaking tampons: uncomfortable and pointless.

Dude, that has been debunked on so many platforms, it’s embarrassing.
Oh, they "debunked" a future event? Well, thanks for that Shav.

Which Democrat blogger did this debunking, the same one that is wringing his
hands in joy at the prospects?

It would be a nightmare. Millions of votes stuffing the ballots everywhere by "activists".

Oh, well tried!
However, what has been debunked is that postal voting is more corrupt than non-postal voting.

In other words: trump is screaming about postal voting fraud and there is nothinf backing up his argument.

Who can decide this? Certainly not the president I should hope. The seante or the House of Representatives or the Congress as a whole (or the Supreme Court of the United States in the end?)
The US Congress has sole power to set the date of Presidential Elections.

Then you would be in violation of the law.

Well, maybe there is, as he fired our Postmaster General and replaced her with one of his toadies.

The fraud is of his own making. The USMail was safe until he put a Trumpanzee in charge of it.

Apparently Congress.
But even Republicans are aghast at the idea.

And even if the elections were postponed Trump's Presidency can only
last 4 years. Power goes down some complicated chain of senior
politicians. (Nancy would miss out because her seat goes in December)

I heard she would not be Speaker come January.
