Notice that Biden did not say "assault rifle". He said "assault weapon".

Assault weapon is an incorrect term to include semi automatics. Biden will not say "assault rifle" because those are machine guns. They are already illegal to buy without a permit.

I agree, military assault rifles that are offered on the civilian market and are allowed because they only fire semi-auto are way too much firepower to be in the hands of civilians.
I get it. I have owned several over the years, but any claim of having them for home defense is ridiculous, I had shotguns and pistols that were plenty good for home defense.
So what should we be allowed to keep in our home and still claim 2nd Amendment rights?
For once we agree.....AR-15 in the hands of a
juvenile who isn't allowed to own beer. These
guns have NO practical purpose except to SHOOT PEOPLE.
Military men, sportsmen and laymen all agree.

Right. We want guns in the hands of legal beer drinkers. 😆

"These

That is not true. I can kill varmints with an AR 15. I could shoot a deer with it. Bear. I can kill all sorts of animals with an AR 15. And it looks scary so nobody will want to mess with me. 😛

If you take away guns so people kill people with cars would you outlaw the model of cars most used to kill people? For example, Honda Accords are popular so if they were used the most to run over people would you want Honda Accords outlawed?

AR15s are semi automatic rifles like a lot of other rifles. Why do you want to outlaw them? Because they look scary?
Last time I checked, you need a license, training, a driving
test and insurance, to drive a HONDA ACCORD.
What states follow this criteria in order to own an AR-15?

Who cares? You just aim and shoot. Hopefully a dog doesn't catch a bullet. Always running around real fast. 😛

An 18 year old's brain is not fully developed enough to buy a gun at home, but it is fully developed enough to send them to shoot people in a war? In the old days anybody in active military service was allowed to drink alcohol. Is that how we fully developed their brains enough to send them to shoot people in a war? If so, we should lower the drinking age so they don't shoot people.

Active shooters kill people in the USA with rifles so Canada bans hand guns. Go figure.

Plenty of tanks in private ownership shag. The terminator used to own one and run over all sorts of things before he went semi-woke.

Save your pennies, make your dreams come true.

Yes sounds like a lot of common sense to me regardless of the .22whatever controversy.
The last thing you want to be firing off in your house with children inside is an automatic or semiautomatic that can probably easily pierce internal walls, ceilings and floors.
A Shotgun or a big calibre round from a not too powerful hand gun sounds like they were made for the job.

I don’t think he was allowed to have a functional gun on it - a tank without a gun is just an armored tractor

Yeah and they are out of our budget. I want an AIRCRAFT carrier but I guess that won't happen either. I could park it outside our beachfront property and DARE anyone to rob us🙂
