Slightly off-topic, but it does show how very different British politics is to American politics. Starmer is fighting for his political life on account of a poor appointment he made, namely his choice for the UK ambassador to the USA.

Trump’s cabinet turnover, both this term and during his first term, was very high. Bondi is only the most recent in a long line of high-level ‘restructuring’ yet no one holds the man accountable who appointed these failed postings.

I find it telling that the crux of the biscuit in Starmer’s difficulty is the appointee’s connections to Epstein, revealed in the trove of files released by the FBI, whereas the American DoJ keeps saying there’s nothing incriminating in the Epstein Files, move on. Bear in mind, no one is saying Starmer had any connections to Epstein, only that one of his appointees did, and this alone is damning. As it should be in America, too.

I ain’t reading, especially since I do think Patel has done a great job although I do not think he has gone after people like Comey and Hillary et al as he should have. He is not tough enough. I wish he would be more wimpy, like democrats.
So the document to me is moot. And like everything in our government, no one on either side will ever be punished for anything, probably the greatest disappointment.

The “buck” stops at the top. If you put “yes” folks into cabinet posts, often, it backfires. He, Trump, has a record of being good at doing just that.

Well, after the inauguration, the first priority for Cabinet meetings was kneeling at the throne and kissing the ring. They would go around the table, each person trying to outdo the others in their praise of Trump.

I thought they'd do better if they ditched the table, in favor of kneepads for everyone.
