He did not mean ending as in slaughter. He meant their way of life, when he has put an end to their economy, their possibIlity of prosperity. But they want that, Sonhouse. You liberals do not understand War time. He was using what you might call deterrent language. He wants to prevent conflict by being overwhelmingly clear about consequences.
