What does this mean? What?

"But ATY, they chooooooooose not to spend money!"
Cool. I didn’t either when starting out. Invested it! Bought stock in Ramada Inn and it went from there. Surely you would think someone starting out should invest.
But I fear. (Fear! A Sue word.) that you think that a 25 yr old starting out should have a right to the riches already amassed by a 65 yr old with his investments.
Am I right?

No wonder you guys fell, and keep falling for, the con.

A very wise man once said (can’t remember who,) “Capitalism cannot exist without morality.” You’re seeing that truth play out in the United States right now.

Morality? That has zero to do with it.

Capitalism can't exist without stupid people who don't mind getting fleeced.

You're also seeing that play out right now, too.

I think morality has everything to do with it. When CEOs won’t pay their workers a decent salary but instead horde money for themselves or others who are not physically working to make the company successful, that is immoral and a threat to capitalism

That’s the rub, capitalism like any other system falls foul of human nature. Communism would work if human beings didn’t have a tendency to cling on to power like a new born clinging to its mothers tete.
The only way capitalism can be sustained long term is with government and judicial oversight ameliorating its exploitative and monopolistic tendencies otherwise it will eat itself.
A regulated capitalism is far from perfect but it probably is the best solution from a utilitarian perspective.

PB. What economy, properly guided, could exist without morality ? Lost me there.

But we have already resolved that issue. At least I have. We simply pay for and support those 40 million people, and everybody else can take care of themselves. I’ll write the first check. It would be quite easy, if no losers were ever given welfare money, which could then be applied to people who truly need it. I must be talking to Deaf Ears. Is this where I say Dumbsh-t? I’m not too good at that.
Obviously any time investing is discussed, it does not mean by people who do not have what we call mad money to invest. But a guy who does not have money to invest now will probably by next December could have started a 401(k). That assumes he makes the proper choices and does not have more children that he can afford, such as that. Deaf Ear City.

You know, you would go over REALLY well on Saturday Night Live.

If I buy aTesla from a man worth $280B, am I getting fleeced?

‘Foul of human nature’?..To work hard and save and provide for his family and do good things? Isn’t that human nature?
A squirrel will work his butt off during the summer to bury nuts. Doing his thing, like your humans. Neither the squirrel nor the human is stepping on anyone’s toes, using his God-given talents to make a life.
Comment?
