@eladar saidHave you invented something better?
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/07/23/delta-variant-pfizer-covid-vaccine-39percent-effective-in-israel-prevents-severe-illness.html
If we are concerned with herd immunity, does a 39 percent effective rate cut the mustard?
Still: "However, the two-dose vaccine still works very well in preventing people from getting seriously sick, demonstrating 88% effectiveness against hospitalization and 91% effectiveness against severe illness, according to the Israeli data published Thursday."
@no1marauder saidWe are talking about spreading COVID. About 60 percent of vaccinated people still get sick and pass COVID to others.

Good news is that after getting sick, you do get immunity naturally. It is at least 90 percent effective.

And btw, making sure your vitamin D levels are at least 50 ng/ml also protects against getting covid and being hospitalized if you get sick.

Not in other countries as your article states.

@no1marauder saidThere must something wrong with people in Israel. That problem might be honesty.

@eladar saidLike most right wingers, you accept government statistics only when it suits your ideological preferences.
There must something wrong with people in Israel. That problem might be honesty.
It bears looking into; maybe Israel has some bad batches or didn't store them properly or something.

@eladar saidSure, though the extent of the natural immunity will vary among individuals.
@no1marauder
Do accept the claim that getting sick and recovering gives natural immunity?
24 Jul 21
@no1marauder saidThe link I gave said at least 90 percent of the time.
Sure, though the extent of the natural immunity will vary among individuals.
Given the truth of that statement, we have millions of people already immune without getting a vaccine. As more people get sick, more people will get immunity.

@eladar saidAnd more will die.

Vaccines are a better choice then deliberately planning for people to die or get sick with unknown long term damage.

@no1marauder saidThe number of deaths would be dramatically cut if people would take their vitamin D.
And more will die.

Very few of those deaths will be people 45 and younger. Sure some young people will die, just like chicken pox kills some people. They have very messed up immune systems.
With life comes death. Good luck escaping death.

@eladar saidIt's stupid to adopt a policy that you know will cause people to prematurely die.

Why you keep beating this insane drum after you were shown to be so catastrophically wrong in your predictions and analysis of this pandemic is something I'll never understand.

@no1marauder saidIt is stupid to give people genetically modified viruses.

@no1marauder saidYou do not question the long term consequences of injecting genetically modified viruses into a body?
I'm not going to waste further time on crank conspiracy theories.
Just did a quick look up of deaths from COVID yesterday.
332 which is not exactly huge numbers, which means likely way fewer than 100 people under the age of 45.
