@no1marauder saidThe most important thing with double vaccinated people is that they don’t
Like most right wingers, you accept government statistics only when it suits your ideological preferences.
It bears looking into; maybe Israel has some bad batches or didn't store them properly or something.
Get seriously ill (90+ % effective = 90% of people who would get seriously ill won’t. So, say 10 in 100 people would normally get hospitalized, now it’s only 1 ).
And they have a shorter time span to spread the disease. So, herd immunity is reached much faster and with far less deaths / illness in the general population.
Vaccines don’t stop people getting or spreading the disease. They shorten the period of time you can transmit it and make you far less likely to end up in hospital.
Because of the shortend time span for spreading the disease, it mutates much slower.
Because of far less serious illness, the health services are not in danger of collapsing.
In Israel they removed all measures in public spaces. The delta variant spreads incredibly fast. So hundreds of people infected 1000’s of people, many of whom were not vaccinated (so not shortening the time span I mentioned earlier). So, in general, the amount of infections increases dramatically. Even amongst the vaccinated.
However, hospitalizations are managable and vaccinated people who become symptomatic, have three days of fever and headaches and then get better.
If there were no vaccinations, the delta variant would be a very serious issue.
@no1marauder saidMaybe Israel doesn't report all breakthrough cases like the CDC admitted on their own website. Have you ever thought of that?

I am a left winger and I don't accept government statistics when the CDC admits they manipulated the data to make vaccines seem more effective than they are. I'm sure you have a coincidence theory for it though.
You might want to accept the government statistics are manipulated because they are.

What herd immunity? Vaccinated people can still get the SARS2 virus and spread it to others. Eldar proved that and you are ignoring the proof. Even no1 acknowledged that. Maybe now he will realize vaccinating children is a stupid idea since the only reason he supported it is because he believed the herd immunity lie. He will probably contradict himself though. He will want it both ways. Just wait and see.
@eladar saidTrue: Disease is a fact of life
The number of deaths would be dramatically cut if people would take their vitamin D.
Very few of those deaths will be people 45 and younger. Sure some young people will die, just like chicken pox kills some people. They have very messed up immune systems.
With life comes death. Good luck escaping death.
True: Most young people are very unlikely to die from COVID
True: Natural infection produces immunity
True: Vitamin D helps
But equally or more true than any of those things: The vaccine HELPS - A LOT!
None of those other truths hurt the case for getting vaccinated at all.
I can't quite figure out what you have against one of the greatest vaccines ever made (smallpox, measles and polio may be better), but none of those arguments you keep making are relevant.

Herd immunity is never happening with COVID. I don't have time to explain now (maybe later), but suffice it to say, true herd immunity is as much a pipe dream as trying for herd immunity against the common cold.

Sufficient vitamin D levels cuts your chances of getting covid by 80 percent compared to vitamin D deficient people. If you do get COVID it greatly decreases your likelihood of getting a severe reaction.
If you are 45 or younger and have no inherent immune system issues, the best solution is the natural solution. Doing it naturally has the added benefit of protecting against other health issues such as cancer and heart disease.
If you avoid genetically modified food, why would you agree to having a genetically modified virus put in your body?

@no1marauder saidThat kid had immune issues. Tens of thousands of people doe from the flu every year. No need to get a vaccine for the flu. Sure flu shots are available, but they are not touted as the savior of the world.

Even kids should have their vitamin D levels checked. This kid might still be here today if he had his vitamin D up to speed.
It is sad to see so many people die needlessly.

@eladar saidThere's no indication he had "immune issues". But there is an indication that his entire family caught COVID because they were unvaccinated:

Are you ignorant enough to believe vaccines prevent people from getting sick?
@eladar saidWho cares?

Are you ignorant enough to believe vaccines prevent people from getting sick?
Your Vitamin D shtick, even in the unlikely event it's true at all, is just a way to encourage people to avoid taking effective vaccines. No one regularly checks their Vitamin D levels.
@no1marauder saidI said it does not prevent it.
Vaccines do lower the risk that people will get sick and that they will transmit the disease. https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/p0607-mrna-reduce-risks.html
@no1marauder saidIf they did not check his vitamin D levels, then your article is fake news.
Gibson had no underlying conditions prior to getting sick. https://news.yahoo.com/5-old-covid-19-died-102208810.html
