@no1marauder saidMarauder says 'there was and is no emergency'. Actually, everyone, from a Bolshevik's (Marauder's) point of view, he really does NOT see this as an emergency. He sees this as daily activity. This is NORMAL for liberals and certainly for Marauder. I consider this a great observation by yours truly.
There was, and is no "emergency" justifying the use of Federal troops due to BLM protests. The violence that followed some such protests were relatively minor compared to past instances of urban unrest such as in Detroit and other cities in the 1960s and in LA after the Rodney King verdict.
It is interesting to see you "small government" types want to use the Federal military against the People, though.
Certainly by Maruders posts over the months we can see that this is a 'movement', .....he wants the USA, after 250 years, to be, as Obama said, transformed. This is who we are debating with. I think I will go wash my little typing fingers.
By the actions of Marauder's people, whom we are writing about, coupled with the printing of money by the administration (It is not BIDEN!), they will indeed dismantle the USA.
On a practical note, prepare for inflation. That is when there is a lot of money chasing few products. Products were not being made during the pandemic. Save your cash, you will need it. Marauder and Friends are pouncing on this for all that it is worth. Of course, the level headed Kamala will clean all this up when she enters the Oval.
@no1marauder saidYou fail to understand what we mean by small government. Here is a definition for you.It is EXACTLY the opposite of what your definition might be.

@no1marauder saidyou stated the military could not be used for domestic policing...
Not when they are federalized thus my point is accurate:
"National Guard units, state defense forces, and naval militias[17] while under the authority of the governor of a state. However, when the National Guard is federalized under 10 U.S.C. § 12406, that shifts control from the state governor to the President, making Guard operations subject to the Posse Comitatus Act as well."

"the US has a law forbidding the military from being used for domestic law enforcement."
the fact is only SOME of the military is prevented from domestic policing.
My statement stands...you lied by omission.
@no1marauder saidHow did the Marines get used in the Rodney King riots?

My statement was accurate; the Army National Guard you mention is barred from domestic law enforcement use.
I do not consider State National Guards not federalized as part of the military.

@no1marauder saidIt doesnt matter what YOU consider.
GFY.
My statement was accurate; the Army National Guard you mention is barred from domestic law enforcement use.
I do not consider State National Guards not federalized as part of the military.
And there is no difference in the army NG vs state NG... There is only one NG with different branches, army/air force.
“ My statement was accurate; the Army National Guard you mention is barred from domestic law enforcement use.”
That statement is incorrect.

I have a hard time believing you're a lawyer.
@dood111 saidWhen National Guard units are federalized, they become part of the US Army and are thus subject to the provisions of the Posse Comitatus Act:

@no1marauder saidNot true. You dont have a clue about the NG. Quit digging your hole. The NG can be federalized and remain under state control.

" While governors can call on Guard members to serve as temporary law enforcers, presidents cannot do so under normal circumstances. The Posse Comitatus Act generally prohibits the president from using the military in this role."
