The Libertarian view:

Libertarians have no problem with gays getting married, and they do allow for anybody to deny that marriage.

Freedom is a two-way street.
Pfft... sure, mate, sure. Unless a married gay couple moves in next to a libertarian. Then, it immediately changes into a screeching rage of "it's my fReAdUmB not to live to this pair of degenaraytes!!1Il!?!!"

@Shallow-Blue

Not true.
Most gay couples are working class and they have nice houses or they move in and make it nice.
Property values go up all around.

Does a piece of paper matter that much?

Marriage is outdated anyway and most just stay together because they love each other.

Why are you so insensitive?

I had to edit this to wipe away the tears 🥲
It dies matter for legal reasons. Next of kin,
estate decisions, survivors benefits, end of life decisions, etc.

You've just proven you're not a libertarian with this post.

Libertarians promote civil liberties; they'd be against "freedom" to deny someone else their rights, like "whites only" restaurants. Same for denying gays their rights.

Good ......
So ........ the 60% of the people in Texas that favor abortion will have a say then ??
Of course... when they go to vote for state reps.

You're a lying sack of excrement.
Do you agree with 100% of what the DNC and Democratic party say? Go ahead, lie and say yes.
The fact is democrats in congress do NOT vote 100% the same all the time, or even most of the time.

Now I do not know exactly how the Libertarians word this plank in their platform but it does not matter.
I am a Librertatian, you lying sack'

@Earl-of-Trumps

I get the same response from "them" when i say i am a Republican/Nationalist who is pro choice in regards to abortion.

"They" follow blindly while we choose.
Big difference.

You're a "libertarian" who supports allowing civil liberties to be denied. Right.

So, why are the state reps not properly representing the opinions of the people as shown in the polls ?

Note, actually I saw an article (Texas Tribune I think) that stated 78% said abortion should be allowed in some form, 15% said abortion should be banned entirely.

@mghrn55

So that state would vote and go by the majority vote.

What's the problem?

Not the government:

"Sexual orientation, preference, gender, or gender identity should have no impact on the government’s treatment of individuals, such as in current marriage, child custody, adoption, immigration, or military service laws."

https://www.lp.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/2020-LP-Platform-0720.pdf

Ha, ha they even use "gender identity".

Absolutely, and I am pro-choice as well.

Stupid democrats wait for the pArTy to tell them what to think. You see how many dems refer to non dems as racist...?
Where did they get that from..? From the frickin' BigWhig democrats, that's where.
