That would be silly. I doubt he would since he knows, like I do, that it goes up and down, has been for a 100 years.
Sonhouse says from what I gathered that it is not going to go up anymore.

100 years.................................................

China imports are crap anyway.
Just go to youtube and search for Chinese products falling apart during first time use.
I agree with that but of course investors are cold on the idea that the price of iPhones will double.

Markets rise and fall based on economic trends. When's the last time a crash like this was caused by a singular government action ?

I don’t know. You should look that up, a curious notion. I have noticed that the ones that are all encompassing , like the malaise of Carter, 2008 housing bubble, the subprime loans, etc, take longer than the single causes ( like today). This one won’t last very long. My 2 cents.

That is a well known problem. China's GNP is calculated by what they produce, not what they sell so if they have to make a million widgets to get a thousand out the door, they report the value of a million widgets as GNP not the thousand actually sold, and the quality control is very bad and they know it so if it does take a thousand builds to put one out the door, so be it.
Sounds fine to me, though. Gross National Sales should be GNS.

That's not a metaphor, which you like to use.

It is a simile. Very different.
You are on the path to redemption already.

A REAL win out of this is that these countries become trading partners, our friends, which means........China will be isolated.
Friends of a big bully?

Have you ever heard this: "If you step on people on the way up, they might kick you on your way down." ?

While you and Trump are playing checkers, China is playing weiqi.

China would be playing GO. Trump is playing dart board, he is too stupid to even play checkers.

Yes, but "weiqi" is the Chinese name for GO -- I think there are some slight differences in the rules.

And please let's not insult the dart players. 😉

Ok, I kinda thought that but wasn't sure.

You know, I was a Fort Richardson hospital when I was in the USAF with a bad case of influenza and a general was in the same ward and took to me and taught me to play Go.
I was always into games like chess and so I added Go to the list.

Thank you. That's interesting to learn. I'll send you a PM to continue.

During my one month at Fort McLellan as a Specialist 4 (US Reg Army) who was being out-processed for being too near-sighted to have been let in in the first place, I had some chest congestion and so bought some Sudafed at the PX, as well as a plastic tumbler and some powdered iced-tea mix -- all of which were probably contraband.

An interesting thing is that along with us few rejects, there was a guy who lived in our little dorm who was a quarterstaff master and demonstrator. I didn't get to see any of his demonstrations, though.
