Residents of the impoverished City of Flint pay some of the highest water bills in Michigan. And those bills have not stopped coming or been reduced since state and local officials acknowledged the water is unsafe to drink without filtering.

Cooking and drinking are the same. I'd find other water for those things. I already do closer to Detroit.
Showers, bathing, car washing, etc. don't require the level of purity that water for consumption does.
People have choices to make. They ought not whine when government doesn't do its promised job properly. It is an old story.
If Flint is so impoverished, then what is the reason for staying there? I wouldn't stay in Flint overnight, and I doubt you would either. GTH out!
