I wonder if that captures the feelings of a lot of whites who are irritated at being held responsible for saying it while blacks can use it freely.

Not every race or religion was enslaved and then officially de franchised by white racists in their own country.
You can pretend to not understand the significance of the N word but it’s so obvious that your pretending I’m not sure why you bother.
If an obviously rich British posh boy ever makes the mistake of calling me a surf or a peasant I will rip his stinking vocal chords out. I think that is something akin to how people of African descent feel about white people using the N word but obviously to the power of ten for good reason.
