What was the context?
@metal-brain saidI know what Rogan said. And he can worm his way out of it in your head until the cows come home. He was referring to black people being monkeys. As a joke or not.

Just because something is humorous, doesn't mean it isn't racist.
Now, what was Biden saying and what was the context?

Rogan didn't say black people were monkeys. You don't even have that context right. 😠
@shavixmir saidShag, where did this occur? You're not referring to the planet of the apes thing, surely not. You do know that those characters were humans in costumes right, and it was science fiction, you do know that right. And some of the characters are futuristic fictional chimpanzees which are not monkeys. And that the mainly white humans are depicted as savage beasts while the apes have developed a civilisation.

Have you seen the planet of the apes series?

Go on.
Let’s see you try to spin your way out of this one.
Rogan himself even agreed it sounded FFing offensive.
@shavixmir saidThat isn't EXACTLY what Rogan said. He said he knew it was unacceptable for white people to say the "n" word. I disagree with that much of what he said. Black people should not have a monopoly on the word. If they are allowed to use that so called offensive word so should white people. Black people should set an example for the rest of us and shame their own people when they use it. They should stop using the word "cracker" as well if they want to be fair.

@shavixmir saidSo if it's not planet of the apes (which would have been embarrassing for you), when did Rogan call black people monkeys?
🙄
No zoologist here but what distinguishes a monkey is having a tail, and pretty sure there were no monkeys in Planet of the apes, that would have made it awkward to ride a horse, they wore regular trousers.
@metal-brain saidExactly 💯 👍

@wajoma saidAhhh I see our bad then. Good job you pointed that out otherwise we would have continued to think that Joe Rogan was a racist.

It’s been explained why black people find white people using the N word particularly offensive and degrading. They began using it themselves in order to claim the word and diminish its power to belittle and diminish them.
You’d probably have to read a book instead of burning it if you wanted to understand the history of the N word but you right wing racist types are allergic to actual knowledge.
Given that black Americans never enslaved, dehumanised and marginalised white Americans they get to use the word cracker as a descriptor for certain white people who display certain cultural attitudes.
@kevcvs57 saidYou're the one lying and being stupid, you can't group people by the color of their skin then claim they all think the same way, feel the same way, are offended by the same things.

But we can play that silly game if you like, tell us, define for us where the line is drawn for eg, a person 50:50 mixed race can they use this magic word which is an anagram of ginger half the time? What about a person 25:75 ratio? Are they allowed to use the mystical word which may be similar to the word that means chortle which happens to be an anagram of gingers but minus the 's'. which is similar to snicker but ryhmes with bigger, can they use this word, say, on odd occasions?
@wajoma saidNo your being a stupid apologists for racists which of course makes you a racist and therefor nullifies any opinion you might think you have a right to on this subject.
