@averagejoe1 saidThe courts are part of the government. I'm asking about the Randian Thought I quoted twice already.
Please explain. There are laws to be obeyed. Govt made the laws. Their part is done.
So what are you saying? I think maybe you mean 'that is what Courts are for'?
Man, you libs must think about government every 15 minutes.
Ayn Rand, The Virtue of Selfishness “The Nature of Government,”:
even a society whose every member were fully rational and faultlessly moral, could not function in a state of anarchy; it is the need of objective laws and of an arbiter for honest disagreements among men that necessitates the establishment of a government.
@athousandyoung saidBe interested in seeing this 'promise'.
I deserve an apology from YOU for breaking your promise not to engage with me on the topic of Ayn Rand.
I love when people who get triggered by my posts declare they will never talk to me about the topic again. They can NEVER resist breaking their promise.

@athousandyoung saidAnarchy? You fellers have already driven us into anarchy. Think of all the assistant DAs all over this country, who, following the prosecutor in Georgia, can sue just about anyone anytime, including presidents. Do you realize what your party has unleashed? When it all hits, there is no going back, and everyone will eschew those faierie signs y'all carry around and take another look around. You are Jacobeans.
The courts are part of the government. I'm asking about the Randian Thought I quoted twice already.
You might not have time to chat about green and greenish blue. Do your feet ever touch the ground?
@wajoma saidYou keep ignoring that millions of people died from this contagious disease. Your idea that society should be powerless to prevent the spread of such a disease is insane and not supported by any rational philosophy.
In three words it is: individualism versus collectivism.
And collectivism is just an excuse for sacrificing men for the supposed good of the group. We see it where No1 is quite happy to sacrifice his fellow man to a medical experiment. He got sacred of the bogey man flu - everyone must now take part in a medical experiment of unknown consequences (that's what experiments ...[text shortened]... nclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable.[/i]

@wajoma saidSo force is OK for a breach of a commercial contract?
Roark should have done this, Roark should have done that.
Those responsible should have built the building as agreed and it would have been a very short book.
If (for example) someone has refused to pay for work done (a breach of contract) then it does come down to force and threats of force. Co's and investors who have overcommitted and been unable to hono ...[text shortened]... ave to keep buying retirement investment properties and one day there'll be a tenant that pays rent.

@no1marauder saidThe juice did not prevent you from catching, transmitting, getting extremely sick and dying from the wuflu.

It was, and is: Experimental
I prefer the risk of the scarey bogey man flu then an experimental drug coerced by the least trusted people (goobermint bureaurats) acting in the name of the some of the least trusted mega billion dollar corporations who have a long and proven record of dishonesty.
Besides that, as far as risk goes I'm more at risk riding my 1000cc motorcycle than either the bogey man flu or the juice, and that's not stopping anytime soon.
You protect yourself if you think your stupid face nappy does something, you protect yourself if you think the majic juice does something.
@averagejoe1 saidAltruism.
What would be the philosophy which is directly obverse to the philosophy of Ayn Rand?
@wajoma saidIf you mean it wasn't 100% effective, that's true. No vaccine is.

That hardly means that it didn't save literally millions of lives and would have saved more except for cranks like yourself spreading ignorant propaganda to the gullible.
@no1marauder saidIn some cases the clotshot was 100% effective at being lethal. If the persons taking the juice did so free from any coercion and they paid fully for the majic juice then bad luck.

If there were any coercion, those coercing it should be in jail.

@no1marauder saidMetaphorically, yes, as used to accentuate the mindset of Rand's protagonist. In effect, the mob (the group you defend) wanted to whip him into shape, bring him to heel, make him do what they wanted him to do.
So force is OK for a breach of a commercial contract?
Of course, like you and me, he rebelled and the building burn was his way of saying....you do not own me. You see, the liberal sect does indeed want to own and control 'The People', as did marx, and apparently, you.
Biden has the People paying more and getting less, which is part of your plan, I am sure you know. His admin is probably putting food in warehouses as we speak, to begin handing out to people when they realize that government is their saviour. Their Nanny.
Why don't you start a thread on the plethora of regulations that are coming our way? If Trump does become president, he will spend 3 months just erasing all the spending and chokeholds of regulations and energy restriction.
@averagejoe1 saidThe strange thing is: no one was asking Roark to do anything.
