Do the Boy Scouts ban straight people who had/have sex before marriage? Nope.
If the Boy Scouts begins indoctrinating children about sex in any way then they should not be called a faith based organization. It simply should not be talked about. That means that gays should be able to join so long as they deny being gay. In fact, I'm sure it's happened in the past.

Standard copout line to mask discrimination. Does it also mean they have to deny being straight?

I suppose on the topic of nationalism, anyone who is nationalistic is equivelant to Nazis when it comes to the issue of nationalism.
As I said, as a whole I wouldn't compare them to the KKK. Hell, my nephew was an Eagle Scout and I'm proud if him. But their banishment of gays is no less bigoted than that of the KKK.

Your desire to belittle Christian beliefs is just as bigoted.

Do you agree with the Christian bible that women should not speak in church, instead they should learn at home from their husbands?

Actually you're wrong. There are plenty of pro gay discrimination groups that speak out against gay rights organizations.

Nobody is saying it should be illegal for people to be bigots, but freedom of speech goes both ways.
Did you mean in order to have free speech one must be bisexual?

To be honest, they should not even ask.

But hey, they should be able to do as they please.

I agree they should not even ask, but also neither gays nor straights should have to go out of their way to hide their sexuality from the organization.

I agree they should be able to do as they please, just as we should be able to speak out against bigoted policies.

If I enjoyed being a scouting leader, I would have no problem hiding my sexual orientation, whatever that may be.

Sometimes being a servant is just that. You place the needs of the individuals ahead of your own.

... Private clubs are allowed to set standards.

Setting discrimination as a standard is rather bizarre.

That's what you want the Scouts to teach youngsters?
How to lie and be ashamed of who they are?

Again, why should sex be discussed at all in boy scouts?

The issue is gay activism.
The issue is whether you of or me or Perry or Obama should have any more say in what this private organization does than anyone else, so long as they are within the law.
