If you look at the voting blocks of the last election, you will see that the liberal states were the coastal states as well as big city states like Illinois and New York. I say free the liberal states of the conservatives and free the conservative states of the liberals and see who comes out on top. For example, who will come up with the best system for health care, who will have the best tax codes and the lowest ratio of crime and the best education system, and the best standard of living etc. I say there is ONLY one way to find out and that is for both to let them have their respective ways. Unfortunately, however, the federal government forces down our throats elements of both and, in the end, both are blamed for our problems. I say let both of them have at it so that they only have themselves to blame. Then again, however, that would bring issues of accountability that I don't think either party is prepared to deal with.
