We live in the moneybasket of the world. We win.

Well dont blame government or regulation when you take your company to the market and sell shares in your company in an IPO and then watch as corporate raiders take you and your company to the cleaners or where investors like Carl Icahn who I don't think ever made anything of worth himself takes a big enough stake in your company and then gets himself elected to your board and because of his usual game plan you lose control of what was yours as other people determine what the most profitable course of action for your company should be. And when the sale of assets begins and you see your wonderful company gutted to make more money for someone who only knows about manipulating money and markets, you will wonder at the logic of having allowed your greed to sell your soul for the notion of a free market.

lol

That my friend... is because you have the amazing ability of seeing nothing clearly and everything strangely.

Your smallness of vision is matched only by your unexpanded view of humanity. Being liberal is easy. All you have to do is agree that total equality of results are good.

How do we arrive at total equality of results?

A conservative (I still hate that term and prefer "classical liberal"😉 believes ONLY in equal OPPORTUNITY. We could give a crap about the final results. It is the chance to succeed that is sacred.

You missed the original point. We conservatives live in the middle states that produce the food. You guys on the coastal states are adrift on the ocean currents. Us sell food to YOU? The liberal crowd who hate us? Keep your money.

That's cool, we have ships and stuff. We'll buy Washington apples and Mexican beans and corn.

So, what about them pants? And computers?

Oh, by the way, agriculture is California's biggest business. We EXPORT food on a scale your state probably couldn't imagine. Let's not forget the Happy California Cows or whatever they call those poor cattle at Cowschwitz on Interstate 5 either. You can smell the farts for miles.

Your state probably needs federal funds taken from California anyway to keep those farms afloat. Which state are you in?

Ah, North Dakota. Guess what? You're one of the ten biggest welfare states in the country. We're one of the ten biggest donaters to that welfare.

Without California North Dakota would cease to exist as anything but a large expanse of dirt.

Your nose is so high in the air that you can't even see the cliff you're about to fall off. Our state has the lowest crime rate per capita of any state in the union, and I can see why California has one of the highest...if you are a good example of the morality of the general population.

You started this "my state (or rather, my part of the country) is better than yours and I hate you anyway" nonsense.

North Dakota has the 47th lowest population density in the country. There's no money there and no people. What are you going to steal? Who are you going to assault or murder? Of course there's no crime!

That is of course assuming being on welfare isn't a crime (and it's not). You're welcome for the financial support! Hope you get back on your feet someday!

Maybe if we cut you off we'd be able to balance our budget.

my, my

That is certainly a kind and gentle attitude for a progressive, caring liberal.

You seem to be saying that "if you can't move to the city, you don't deserve to be taken care of like us"....

Is that right?

The money you are paying North Dakota is by curtesy of your beloved liberal senators in farm subsidies. It goes to our "poor" farmers, who then are able to buy their $250,000 combines, and high-powered tractors. Then they spend their winters in Texas and Arizona while we conservatives who earn our money the hard way sit out our winters at home. Both of our senators are Democrats and they bring home the bacon to the people who keep them in office. So don't blame conservatives for the money you are forking over. Don't attack my state unless you know what you're talking about. Oh, yes, let's not forget our "poor" retired farmers who live off their government CRP payments. "Still self-employed at age 77".

You get a rec and a salute. We might be two birds of a feather. I too am proud to say I have never taken a paycheck from a boss. Self employed forever and proud of it at "only 61".

Hey! Good for you! On a positive note about the farmers here...we have a new crop of young ones who have seen the light. Our two closest neighbors are strong conservatives, living within their means and working hard so as to not live on hand-outs. Alot of them got turned off by seeing their liberal elders getting government bail-outs....too many we know!....and turning around and using the money to buy a new pickup they did not need, or some other luxury. Being self-employed your entire life is fulfilling the American Dream. Congratulations! I did work in a bank after I got out of college, then stopped working to raise a family. But I have taught piano and organ for many, many years. I actually had my first student 57 years ago.
