The folks in the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001 might disagree with your statement that our military spending and propensity to use it make the US "so strong no one dare attack us."
Well, good point, but it just proves what I'm saying. Now we need MORE types of military for those types of attacks. Won't sneak up on us again. Here is a thumb up for making that point, we were indeed attacked.

The more we intervene in other countries and kill their People, the more likely such asymmetrical retaliatory attacks become. More and more and more military and more and more willingness to use it all over the world makes the problem worse; it doesn't solve it.

so you agree with Trumps policies?

@AverageJoe1
Yes, we for sure were attacked on 911, and the military has worked out plans for such attacks again but it is unlikely, that was a once and done kind of attack, we are too aware of how they do such things now. A single dude with a switchblade might take over a jet and such and demand a million bucks and the like but ten or fifteen such dudes, we know what to watch out for now and they know it.
BTW, I would assume since all you watch is Faux news, NATO was the ones who came in and helped us much to your god king Trump's dismay.
You do know Trump WILL pull us out of NATO if by some blister of fate, he is the next POTUS and the rest you will not like even if you are such a trumpite zombie as to think we SHOULD get rid of NATO and become an isolated country like your buddy wants, probably a 100 foot high fence buried 40 feet underground all across the entire south would not be good enough for you, I imagine you wish there was a 3000 mile wide glass dome a couple miles high all across the US so we will never get those drug addicts and child porno producers again.

What policies? He intensified US involvement in Iraq, removed restrictions on drone strikes that caused additional civilian deaths and US troops remained in Afghanistan after he left office. He also supported Saudi Arabia's war in Yemen and Israeli's brutal repression of Palestinians.

Whatever his rhetoric, by his actions he continued and worsened US military meddling.

This article was written in January 2019:

"In the last two years, their analysis shows that US troops have been in combat in 14 countries, that US drones and planes have launched strikes in seven countries and that US forces have run counter-terrorism training in 65 missions. In the secretive war on terror, the Defense Department has used the label counter-terror training to describe its mission in Niger, where US commandos were participating in raids and patrols against militants."

You know as well as I do that the US doesn't have anything near "open borders", no matter how many times right wing propaganda sites repeat that BS.

I see; so being in combat isn't being in a "war".

Right wingers hate facts which is why you and your ilk whine when others on this board find easily available information that exposes your lies.

I'm sure it's very reassuring to the relatives of the soldiers killed in say Niger during the Trump administration that there was no real "war" there.

Face facts, what I said was true; Trump's policies regarding overseas military meddling were even worse than his predecessor.

Lying about it doesn't change that fact.
