That’s not actually true but if it makes you happy.
European religious based pogroms culminating in the Holocaust is what drove the creation of Israel and the subsequent influx of European Jews.
Without them there would be no state of Israel
Israel is a democracy and up to now has been reasonably liberal within its self defined borders but it’s obviously lurching to the right and should be treated accordingly by the international community.
