RIP Dad. Hospital from hell

Debates

My elderly dad aged 82 lived a full life and because of the Chinese covid19, he had to isolate alone except for my sister went and helped him daily as she was isolating too. We were not allowed in the house for 7 weeks. We stood at the gate and chatted from 5 meters, but he had a fall and cracked his head. My sister treated him and then he had another fall and we called an ambulance and they took him to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
They tested him for covid19, obviously came out negative as he had isolated and he was fine. 2 weeks later, he was tested again and he was positive. He had caught covid19 in the hospital.
Two weeks later, our dad was in misery because he could not understand why he was not allowed to see his family.
All alone in hospital, he was doing ok they told us. 4;30am Monday last week, we had a phone call, he was dead. Died in the hell hospital.

Now we are not allowed to see him at all even dead. We are only allowed 16 at his funeral and we are not allowed to carry the coffin.

I can't explain how difficult a time this is.

Just stay safe folks. Stay home and play chess and when it is over, dedicate your life to being happy.

A sad ending of a good life. Nobody's fault I would think, but still so unnecessary.

My mind cannot describe the true depths of your personal sorrow.
It is very sad.

This unnecessary morass of mass melancholia has become too common and each case steals another piece of my soul.
