Sadly, it's looked upon as legitimate by some republicans who point to its longevity as proof of its merit.
It's good for what it is - a right wing echochamber.
Right wing content is regularly demonetized or negatively impacted by the algorithms on major websites... so they created various alternative platforms to be able to exercise their free speech and to also bypass their gatekeeping, and some of them are even making a living off of this.
And not just the professional commentators - there's full time staff at Gab, BitChute, Rumble, etc. that are doing reasonably well.
If YouTube and other social media hosts & sites continue to demonetize or work against them, these alternatives will just grow stronger...
And why not?

Because they energize the Trump base to violence for one thing. Or have you forgotten that peaceful political discourse on Jan 6? These people would GLADLY overthrow the government and install their own version of a dictator if they were given the chance.
Personally if that gets even CLOSE to happening I WILL go door to door to tell the truth to those believing the Trump lies.

He obviously couldn't just SAY let's have an insurrection, it is his ACTIONS giving him away, like that 3 hour gap of ZERO action when the looting started and he just watched it all on TV sucking down diet cokes and popcorn. His own FAMILY asked him to intervene and he didn't because that insurrection is what he started and his only regret was the SS not allowing him to go with the 'protestors'.
It WAS an insurrection no matter how you slant it and it WAS started by Trump.
He planned such even before he was elected, If I lose it will be because of voter fraud, that back before he even RAN for POTUS.
