No Scots want to fight in any war as you put it . Why do you think Scots join the British army ? Knuckle head .
Generally speaking, the Scottish electorate has not wanted to participate in any war the British government has been involved in since the 1970's.

Obviously there are always morons (read: Rangers supporters) who join the armed forces.

As for "the largest party of Scotland" supporting the Iraq war... yeah... that's probably one of the reasons they're no longer the largest party in Scotland.

And just because Nato joined the little rock-blast they called a war in Afghanistan, doesn't mean that the Scottish electorate supported it.

"Bra tcoon , Scottish lingerie tycoon Michelle Mone has threatened to move her buisness and herself to England if Scotland votes yes in an independance referendum "
I suppose you could say alot of "tits"in Scotland will lose their support !😉
She's a capitalist cronie.
Alex Salmond said (yesterday on the BBC) that they'd lower corporation tax... perhaps Miss Mone will reconsider when she actually thinks it through.

Interestingly support for the Iraq war in a 2007 poll was higher in Scotland and Yorkshire (42% ) than any other part of Britain. There again you did think whiskey(sic) was the UK's largest export.

London was the most against the war in Iraq (18% ). My area despite my indication of their voting intentions was actually closer to Scotland (38% ). Maybe pacifist England should get independence.

I personally like the idea of English independence and have done for a while. I think it would create 4 countries (I am assuming a united Ireland) that would probably get on disappointingly well for all those in foreign parts who love to think we are at each others throats.

Yes. Touche on the spelling...

However, as for the exporting... Scotland's two largest export "products" are textiles and whisky. With the whisky industry employing more people.

I have heard that weapons and drugs do export better from the UK, but I felt a little artistic license was plausable. Especially after seeing Jeremy Clarkson in India attempting to sell English products...

Sounds like need to send in some British troops and quell the revolt.

Maybe Scotlands but food and beverages is well down the UK list, there again being a much smaller country it is a fine export. The chinese here seem to love their scotch, drink it like water and collapse in a heap. Although much is made of North Sea oil i thin there is a great potential for growth in whisky exports.

Textiles quite low in the list of scottish exports according to

which did surprise me

I walked out of the cinema after his wife got tied to a stake and had her throat slit, too
much violence for me man! actually i think the seventh hundredth anniversary of the
battle of bannockburn is this year, which ironically won Scottish independence only for it
to be sold down the line by the Union of the crowns a hugely unpopular event at the time.

If the Scottish people (6 million roughly) had access to its natural mineral wealth the
economy would be similar to that of Norway and we would overnight become the
sixth richest nation on the planet. I would just like to state that i oppose nationalism
of all forms. If one visits the highlands of Scotland one cannot help but notice the
influx of English colonists and i say they are welcome to it, as long as they respect
our egalitarian sensibilities and cultural traditions. This is not always the case, sadly.

Wasn't there a tory speaking on the BBC who, when asked why they opposed Scottish independance, replied: "Well, you just don't give real-estate like that away."

Yup. Pretty sure I heard it.

yes its entirely possible and as you are aware as a socialist nation its one of the
reasons why Scotland has consistently opposed the conservatives for hundreds of
years. We simply dont trust them.
