We have seen countless threads on this Forum doing exactly the same thing posted for exactly the same reason.
The thread should be removed; if Earl wants to have a general discussion about "violence in America" (which has declined sharply in the last 25 years or so), he should avoid the type of race baiting the first post is so obviously an example of.

I have noted that threads like this seem to attract a "certain crowd" -- which is why I'm focusing here on Dood111. His post, and Earl's lack of condemnation of it, is precisely what leads me to *suspect* that the OP may not have been written in good faith, but then there are times Earl calls out (albeit meekly) the nutters for their racist rantings.
I'm maybe being too naive about the extent to which the Debate Forum's "fresh start" will in turn engender a fresh start in the comportment of its participants.
