I don't think anyone can know the true reason for going to war in Iraq, but one thing's for sure: Dick Cheney's making a hell of a lot of money with Haliburton over there.

Are you aware that there are spanish speaking people in the United States whom are not illegal?

People are actually suggesting that Alan Greenspan is writing a book to make money...

Bwuahahahahaaaa

You would really have to be the dumbest ape on the planet to believe that for one second. To call you human would be going too far.

Yes. I'm sure he is quite strapped for cash after leaving hist post. Maybe we could start a thread for Alan's benefit where we can give him suggestions on how to invest properly.

I have no problem with legal immigrants from any nation being in the US. I have major problem with illegal immigrants being in this country... simply because they have the right to get back to their country of origin. They have no lawful rights, no Constitutional rights etc. On and no rights to credit ...

Just go and shoot them then, if you think they have no rights under your law.

I don't have exact numbers, but I know people in Iraq, and many others,
who's job it is to escort Haliburton trucks in their unarmored humvees.
Haliburton and KRB are contracted and supply the troops with everything, so
they basically have a monopoly on anything bought by soldiers - which is very wrong and very sad.

I can understand the 'wrong' part, but why is it VERY sad ?

It is never one reason but many reason why.

The main reason would be for HOMELAND SECURITY as this is where Bush's motive's lie.
How he comes to achieve his mission(successful or not) is found through those who suit his purpose. OIL therefeore becomes secondary.

Also what supports this wrong war is people who once believed that they were right but then changed their minds, however they choose to continue riding the downhill slide(at Iraqi people's expense) to save their own lives looking for that elusive win.

But there is ignorance from American people as it is easier that way and they dont need to care until they have to.

Hey, Rajk. You're the poor dear who doesn't know the King's English, right? Remember? You didn't know the definition of the word "boor"? You really should have studied harder in school.

Of course thanks to him and his current set of econmic advisors, the US has had the lowest unemployment rate in decades and a robust economy.

So you take Mr. Greenspan's word ...[text shortened]... who thought his policy was passe and it was time for him to go, they recommended that he go)
Thank you, SMSBear16. We now know that amoung your many talents is that you are a mind-reader. What do you know that Mr. Greenspan doesn't? Thanks for the ad-hominem, armchair psycho-analysis. BTW, where did you get your Psychology degree?

...according to the guy who really ran the US economy for nearly 20 years.

I cannot believe I have been so utterly duped. I thought it was all about Saddam's stockpiling of WMD & his lack of compliance with UN resolution after UN resolution.
You only just discovered this?
You didn't think, at the time, it strange that UN weapons inspectors couldn't find squat diddley, yet we were going to war BECAUSE he was stock-piling these weapons?

Nobody has a right to credit. That's a ridiculous concept.

You don't seem to understand the concept of "rights".
