It would certainly be the end of a sense of privacy, safety, and decorum for the ladies.
I've been in bathrooms with the long feeder trough, probably those should be men-only, but otherwise if you see a problem with all-gender bathrooms you should do some self-reflection on your own personal hang ups. Maybe go see a therapist.

But like with public pools, maybe mixed-gender bathrooms will cease to be an issue once we're used to the idea. If we can go to public pools and beaches together, public bathrooms *might* not be that much of a stretch.
Then again, bathrooms are separated enclosed spaces typically smaller than the rest of the facility. Beaches and public pools are usually wide-open areas where everyone can see what is going on.

For most of the last 800,000 yrs of human evolution, everyone peed in the same bushes and latrines. In France, there are pissoirs on the sidewalks. Nobody pays this any mind. Americans are such prudes, I swear.

I suppose you are aware that for many millions of people in the world, it matters a great deal indeed in which direction one urinates and with which hand one holds the toilet paper that wipes the bottom ....
Sorry, but I just can't get worked up about this. My co-ed dorm at college was obviously too far ahead of its time for the knuckle-draggers of this world.
